Friendswood is Getting a Mural

Friendswood’s first mural project is coming to downtown later this year thanks to a collaboration between the Friends of Downtown Friendswood and the Friendswood Historical Society.

The mural is being designed and painted by renown Israeli artist Anat Ronen and will feature various elements from Friendswood’s heritage including the original Quaker Maid canned figs label and our first school, the Academy.

The project is tentatively scheduled to begin painting in October. Fundraising is currently under way with a goal of $25,000. Donors who give $1,000 or more will have their name engraved on a plaque commemorating the mural.
